Consultation is a powerful pathway to change because when IEU members have a voice in decisions that impact their work the entire community benefits.

Consultative provisions secured during negotiations for the most recent collective agreement mean Queensland Lutheran school employers are obliged to consult with employees on certain matters.

These consultative provisions are a tool for empowering members, driving systemic change and fostering collaboration.

Under the collective agreement, school heads and principals must ensure consultation with teachers occurs when allocating duties and apportioning workloads, in an effort to arrive at a situation of optimum satisfaction to all parties.
