New IEU research reveals a broad inconsistency across the Queensland non-government education sector when it comes to Permission To Teach (PTT) arrangements.
IEU-QNT Research Officer Dr Adele Schmidt said our union’s research showed most collective agreements contain no industrial Permission To Teach (PTT) provisions.
“Where such provisions did exist, there was considerable diversity of approach,” Dr Schmidt said.
“This confirms our union’s advocacy around a need to consider how to manage what is rapidly becoming a legitimised pathway into the teaching profession,” she said.
