OECD report confirms workload, staffing and student inequity persist

11 November, 2024

The latest Education at a Glance report published by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has confirmed inequity in education, staffing and high workloads remain perennial problems in Australia.

IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said the report provides a snapshot of Australia’s education system compared with other member countries.

“Although Australia performs quite well on most measures, these persistent problems will come as no surprise to IEU members who experience these issues daily at work,” he said.
