Recent Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) has highlighted the value of early career mentoring for a sustainable teacher workforce.

The Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) collates data from higher education providers, teacher regulatory authorities and teachers across sectors on topics important to the national teacher workforce to build a picture of Australia’s teaching profession.

Understanding this is important in building a sustainable and supported teacher workforce.

The National Trends Workforce Data 2025 (the Report) is the latest edition in the ATWD’s investigation into the characteristics of the teacher workforce and trends in demographics, employment conditions and specific workforce experiences.
