Our union, along with the Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU), are hosting an Initial Teacher Education (ITE) symposium for Queensland education stakeholders ahead of the renegotiation of a new practicum agreement in 2025.

IEU-QNT Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Paul Giles said in anticipation of negotiations commencing for a new agreement, our unions were inviting stakeholders to work together and inform its development.

“We hope to identify ways to collaborate and address some of the issues emerging from changes to ITE structures and processes,” he said.
