Although the education landscape changed rapidly around her, union membership has remained a constant for teacher member Gina Brosnan since she stepped into Brigidine College, Indooroopilly over 40 years ago.
Teaching was only meant to be temporary, but Gina said she was hooked, pure and simple.
“Ultimately, it was the positive interactions with students in the classroom that I realised I enjoyed so much despite some very large class sizes that really haven’t improved a great deal over the years,” she said.
