The implementation of Consultative Committees in close to 150 Queensland Catholic schools reflects the strength of IEU members who have united to deliver the message to their employers that there are better ways to collectively manage workload, as IEU-QNT Assistant Secretary Nicole Kapernick writes.
While some employer representatives argued that Consultative Committees would create additional workload, IEU members have recognised the hollowness of the employers’ objections to initiatives that reduce workload.
Local Consultative Committees (LCCs) are making progress in transforming our schools.
These committees are a vital platform for IEU members to voice concerns and drive meaningful improvements.
