Reproductive health is a union issue

12 March, 2024

The Queensland Council of Unions (QCU) is calling for new laws that provide up to 10 days of paid leave for workers to treat and manage conditions related to reproductive health.

QCU General Secretary Jacqueline King said the It’s For Every Body campaign wants new paid leave provisions available to all workers so they can address reproductive health issues that impact their capacity to work.

“Reproductive health issues can affect everybody at every stage of their working life,” Ms King said.
