No new school initiatives without workload impact test

With unsustainable workloads and work intensification driving teachers out of the profession, workload impact tests must form part of any new school initiatives.

Advice released by our union’s federal office this week reaffirms the need for a “circuit breaker” on teachers’ work expectations.

IEU Federal Secretary Brad Hayes said the very first step in considering any new initiative or project in schools should be conducting a workload impact assessment.
