IEU members should remain alert to potential misleading advice from employers in our sector when it comes to existing Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) evidentiary requirements.
It comes after our federal union was recently alerted to correspondence recently issued by multiple non-government school employers claiming new NCCD compliance requirements have been introduced.
IEUA Federal Assistant Secretary Veronica Yewdall said the advice circulated by employers across multiple schools and jurisdictions incorrectly asserted the Australian Department of Education (DoE) has implemented changes that would apply to the 2026 NCCD census cycle, concluding in August.
