After initially attending our union’s mentoring program as a mentee, IEU teacher member Clare is now returning as a mentor to continue her professional growth and support the next generation of teachers in achieving their goals.
Quality mentoring is vital for early career teachers but is not always readily accessible in schools.
Our union is working to address this issue through our union-supported mentoring program.
Now in its eighth year, our union’s free mentoring program pairs members in their first five years of teaching with experienced teachers as an independent source of support and advice.
