Solidarity leads to workload wins

IEU members at a Caloundra City Private School (CCPS) have achieved significant wins on workload as part of their new collective agreement.

It comes after protracted negotiations, during which 100 per cent of Caloundra City Private School (CCPS) employees voted to reject the employer’s proposed agreement at an initial ballot held in April, an offer that failed to address members’ key concerns.

Sunshine Coast organiser Tahnyea Donaldson said member solidarity and action were critical to achieving enhanced wages and working conditions.
