Paid camps, 12.75% super, paid reproductive health leave in new PMSA agreement

3 June, 2025

IEU members in PMSA schools have secured enhanced wages and conditions following recent collective bargaining negotiations.

Strong member advocacy led to a wage outcome reflecting contemporary rates in the Queensland education sector including 3% annual wage increases and 12.75% superannuation (from 1 July 2025).

New camp allowance

An overnight sleepover allowance of $100 per night (two-night attendance) for school camps is a significant new entitlement.

IEU-QNT Organiser Susan O’Leary said the allowance recognised the contribution of staff who had long sustained school camps primarily on their goodwill.

“The allowance is a positive step towards transparency, equity and compensation when it comes to camps,” Susan said.
