One crucial step to recoup $2,000 upon resignation

27 February, 2025

An IEU member recouped a near $2,000 underpayment upon resignation by taking one crucial action.

After deciding to leave their teaching role with a major non-government school employer, the member provided a copy of their final payslip to our union.

The IEU Industrial Team carefully checked the member’s payslip against their entitlements under the relevant collective agreement, quickly identifying an underpayment.

A series of communication and meetings with the employer ensued, where our union advocated on behalf of the member.
