Members win protection of traditional cultural property

IEU members at Hymba Yumba have secured powerful new provisions in their collective agreement, the first of their kind in education, which will contribute towards Closing the Industrial Gap.

Organiser Aaron Watson said Hymba Yumba Independent School in Springfield is a prep to Year 12 school with predominately First Nations students and provides education grounded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
