$80,000 backpay secured for member

31 October, 2023

An IEU member has recently received over $80,000 in backpay after receiving support from our union.

IEU-QNT Industrial Services Officer Mark Moorhead said the member was working at school in Brisbane and contacted our union after several years of working more hours than she was being paid for.

“Our member was employed in 2020 at 0.8 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) but realised she had been undertaking a 0.9 FTE workload,” Mark said.
