Education International (EI), the peak body of education unions globally, has outlined its vision for promoting quality education, addressing climate change challenges and elevating the status of the profession.

EI leaders met in Brussels last November to confirm strategic priorities for the peak body in the coming years.

Many of the matters discussed stemmed from last year’s successful 10th World Congress in Buenos Aires.

“The 10th EI World Congress gave us a clear mandate which we committed to execute with humility,” EI President Mugwena Maluleke said.

“Unity and solidarity are our responsibility now.

“Our mission is clear: to protect and promote education, even in the most challenging situations.
