Teachers who hold Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) chief and lead endorser roles have access to a new pathway program contributing to Highly Accomplished Teacher certification with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
The QCT Professional Standards Committee has endorsed a pathway program contributing to Highly Accomplished certification for teachers who meet requirements of a QCAA chief or lead endorser role, effective from 29 August 2025.
Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ), the other certifying authority in Queensland, has also agreed to recognise the program pathway.
The pathway program recognises the training and operation of these roles as meeting relevant Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) at the Highly Accomplished career stage.
Eligible teachers may use the pathway towards their stage one application until 29 August 2030 for the following descriptors of the APST: Standard 2.3, Standard 5.1, Standard 6.3, Standard 7.1, Standard 7.2 and Standard 7.4.
