The expert advice and support of our union has proved critical in having the recent rejection of WorkCover claims overturned for two members.
IEU-QNT Industrial Officer Vaishi Raja said the two recent cases were an important reminder of the ways in which our union can support members with WorkCover claims.
“Despite the WorkCover scheme in Queensland essentially being a “no-fault” scheme for physical injuries, both these matters related to physical injuries where the employer effectively tried to question whether the injury “arose out of or in the course of employment,” Vaishi said.
