Despite the challenges of the pandemic, our union continues to support and foster the creative talents of students across Queensland and the Northern Territory.
IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said our union’s annual Art Design Awards and Literary Competition (held in conjunction with the English Teachers’ Association of Queensland) provided students a much-needed creative outlet during uncertain times.
“Although the 2021 Excellence in Art Design Awards and Literary Competition operated slightly differently this year due to the pandemic, the quality, diversity and creativity of submissions amazed and impressed the judges,” Mr Burke said.
“We congratulate all who entered and took part in these creative endeavours,” he said.
