On Thursday, 30 June 2022 members of the Independent Education Union NSW/ACT and NSW Teachers Federation in Catholic and public schools took strike action.
The decision to take joint action was made after a historic meeting between both unions. Rallies were held across NSW and the ACT on the day as union members sent a clear message that it’s time to respect teachers by providing fair pay and working conditions.
