As our union’s Mentoring Program enters its fourth year, we reflect on how setting early career teachers up for success makes a difference to the profession.
The IEU-QNT Early Career Teacher Mentoring program was established in 2018 to connect experienced teacher members with early career members in their first five years of teaching.
While some schools provide formal mentoring programs for early career teachers, many do not, and our union sought to fill that gap as an important step to build and maintain strong professional practice throughout our sector.
