Nominations are now open for our union’s annual Member Awards to recognise those members and Chapters who make a difference to our workplaces and profession.

The IEU-QNT Member Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding members who are fundamental to the ongoing success of our union.

IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said our union has taken great pride in celebrating those who show outstanding professionalism and commitment to unionism.

“We have a long history of recognising our members stretching back to the introduction of our first award, The John (Max) MacDermott Award,” Mr Burke said.

“This award was named after a respected and tireless champion of our union, who worked at Mercy College in Mackay.

“The John (Max) MacDermott Award recognises the outstanding contribution of a member or Chapter that has a deep appreciation of, and commitment to, union.
