Our union and the Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU) are continuing to negotiate for new rates of pay and working conditions for practicum supervision and co-ordination.
IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said during the last two meetings, the Australian Higher Education Industrial Association (AHEIA) which represents the universities committed to undertake further review of a draft agreement proposed by our two unions.
Progress in three areas
“Good progress has been made with some in-principle agreements on three key points,” Mr Burke said.
“Firstly, new rates of payment for supervising and co-ordinating teachers have been locked in for 2023.
