Members at Mackay Christian College are the first single-site school in the region to secure a paid pandemic leave entitlement in their new collective agreement.
IEU Organiser Krystal Pearson said the replacement collective agreement endorsed by Mackay Christian College staff was recently formalised by the Fair Work Commission (FWC).
“All staff at the College now have access to seven days of paid pandemic leave which they can access prior to using their sick or personal leave in the event they contract COVID-19,” Krystal said.
