IEU-QNT members have paid our respects to those workers who lost their lives or were injured due to a workplace incident/accident at this year’s International Workers’ Memorial Day (IWMD) event in Brisbane.
Every year, 28 April marks International Workers’ Memorial Day (IWMD) to remember those who have been killed or injured at work.
In 2024, so far, 29 Australian workers have been killed at work.*
IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said a single death at work was one too many.
“Each worker should be able to return home safely every day,” he said.
