Once in a generation vote on First Nations Voice to Parliament

22 February, 2023

Unions are supporting a “yes” vote in the upcoming referendum, describing the vote as a “once in a generation” opportunity to recognise First Nations people.

A Voice to Parliament, which would be enshrined in the Australian constitution following a successful referendum, gives First Nations Peoples a say on government policies and projects that impact their lives.

80% of First Nations people support a Voice to Parliament.
