National Reconciliation Week (NRW) occurs every year between 27 May and 3 June, dates which mark historically significant milestones for First Nations People and Australia’s reconciliation journey: the 1967 referendum and the historic Mabo decision.
The NRW 2023 theme, Be a Voice for Generations, is a challenge to all Australians— individuals, families, communities, organisations and government—to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives and act today for a more just, equitable and reconciled country for all.
