NAIDOC Week 2022

11 April, 2022

Held between Sunday, 3 July and Sunday, 10 July, NAIDOC Week 2022’s theme of Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! acknowledges First Nations Peoples’ proud history of getting up, standing up and showing up.

From the frontier wars and our earliest resistance fighters to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities fighting for change today—First Nations Peoples continue to show up.

Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!

As unionists, we all must continue to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! for systemic change.

Whether it’s seeking proper environmental, cultural and heritage protections, Constitutional change, a comprehensive process of truth-telling, working towards treaties, or calling out racism – we must do it together.

It must be a genuine commitment by all of us to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! to support and secure institutional, structural, collaborative, and cooperative reforms.
