Members’ voices heard on new QCE system

10 May, 2024

The University of Melbourne is evaluating the effectiveness of the new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system to ensure it meets the needs of students, teachers and other stakeholders now and in the future.

Our union recently lodged feedback based on members’ experiences with the system.

IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke noted that our membership was not homogenous and stressed the importance of ensuring all members’ voices were heard on this issue.

This submission draws upon feedback received through our Education Committee and comments provided to union officers by our broader membership during our day-to-day engagement in schools,” Mr Burke said.
