Our union will host the first School Library Forum on Thursday, 28 July to bring together IEU colleagues working as Teacher-Librarians as well as Library Assistants to create a plan for the future of our school libraries.
The forum will be opportunity for School Library employees to discuss what is needed to maintain school libraries as hubs of teaching and learning as well as steps towards securing adequate funding, staffing and resourcing.
IEU-QNT Research Officer Dr Adele Schmidt said our union recognises the vital role school libraries play in the provision of high-quality, digital and physical resources for teaching and learning.
