IEU WA members say no to inferior agreement

Teachers in Western Australian Catholic schools have voted down an inferior collective agreement that would have cut working conditions.

In a show of solidarity against an employer determined to undermine hard-won conditions, IEU members made it clear they would not accept these attacks.

IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said members would be heartened by the actions of their colleague members in WA.

“Many members know firsthand the courage it takes to challenge an employer that is intent on cutting working conditions,” Mr Burke said.
