IEU support secures over $5000 in backpay

22 February, 2024

An early childhood education member has successfully secured over $5,000 in backpay as a result of IEU support.

IEU-QNT Industrial Officer Kassandra Hall said the employee was not being paid correctly under their new collective agreement.

“The employer commenced paying a higher negotiated rate to employees ahead of finalising the collective agreement, but when our member noted they were not being paid under the new agreement, the employer rejected the application for backpay,” Kassandra said.
