IEU gives feedback to federal government’s AI taskforce

Our federal union is continuing to ensure members’ voices are heard regarding the contentious issue of using artificial intelligence (AI) in schools. 

Our union is actively contributing to consultations and inquiries at state, territory, federal and international levels that seek to respond to the impact of AI in education settings. 

Recently, the IEU made a written submission in response to a draft framework released last week by the federal government’s AI Taskforce, which outlines core elements and principles to guide the use of generative AI in education.
