Giving voice to our profession

Teacher professional boards are significant governing bodies for our profession – ones which IEU members fought to establish and then to be part of the representative body.

We asked our union’s representative on the Queensland Council of Teachers (QCT) Aleisha Connellan, and Louise Lenzo on the Northern Territory Teacher Registration Board (NT TRB) to answer some questions about their professional practice, the top priorities for the boards to which they were appointed and the importance of union representation on the boards in making a difference for our profession.
