Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Health and Safety Representatives

Work Health and Safety (WHS) is a powerful organising tool for Union members and Chapters. Employers have a positive obligation under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 to consult about health and safety. To ensure effective consultation and input on WHS issues, IEU members have the capacity to elect Health and Safety Representatives to represent them on health and safety matters and to form WHS Committees.
This online session will outline the actions you and your Chapter can take to elect Health and Safety Representatives, form WHS Committees and ensure that you have a healthy and safe work environment.
