Using AI to Support Teaching and Learning

Join us for a professional development session designed for educators and school staff, focusing on how AI is being used to enhance teaching and learning in schools. We’ll start with a critical discussion on the ethical and suitable use of AI in classrooms, framed around the Traffic Light System developed by our union, IEU-QNT. This system helps guide educators in identifying appropriate, questionable, and unsuitable uses of AI in an educational context.
We will then seek the input from attendees regarding real-world examples of how students are using AI and what teachers are able to do to influence student use. Hear from your peers about what’s working, the challenges they’ve faced, and key insights into the most effective applications of AI.
