On 6 December 2023, changes were introduced to limit how employers can use fixed-term contractual arrangements in relation to renewal, consecutive contract limitations, and the length of contracts. Employees now enjoy enhanced contract entitlements in respect of ongoing employment arrangements.
Requests for flexible working arrangements can be made in a number of circumstances to allow for greater flexibility in the employment relationship.
