AI & Education – Effective Practices and Ethical Use

This session, for teachers and other school staff, will take the form of a dialogue regarding integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom and school-wide contexts. We want to hear about your real-world experiences using AI to enhance teaching and learning, from personalized learning tools to administrative efficiencies.

Hear from your peers about what’s working, the challenges they’ve faced, and what they’ve learned about the most effective applications of AI in education. Union officers will also guide you through a critical discussion on the ethical and suitable use of AI in classrooms, using a Traffic Light System developed in consultation with members. This system helps guide educators to make decisions about particular uses of AI within their unique school and classroom contexts.
