Employers reject primary PCT changes

27 May, 2021

Queensland Anglican employers have rejected any changes to Preparation and Correction Time (PCT) for primary school teachers as current collective bargaining negotiations continue.

IEU-QNT Assistant Secretary Brad Hayes said members proposed a provision to match primary teacher PCT to the current secondary teacher PCT; however, the employers outright rejected any changes.

“Primary school teachers are being continually directed to do more and yet their PCT entitlements remain limited to just half the rate of their secondary colleagues,” Brad said.
