An attempt by Blackheath and Thornburgh College to revoke their redundancy payments for staff has been rejected in the Fair Work Commission (FWC) thanks to IEU member action.

A 2020 decision by the employer to outsource catering services resulted in three IEU services staff members at the College being offered new roles where they would be employed by the catering company.
