With more than one in four workers now in insecure work, the current federal government has failed to address job insecurity for hundreds of thousands of Australians – including many IEU members.

Job insecurity didn’t happen by accident.

“Australia used to have the most secure jobs in the world,” said IEU-QNT Assistant Secretary Brad Hayes.

“Whether it’s term-time employment, casualised jobs with less rights, labour hire that underpays for the same job, part-time work without meaningful guaranteed hours, or years of low pay growth, insecure work is a serious problem for our community,” Brad said.
