Anglican members waiting on workload and wages clarity

16 July, 2021

Negotiations for the new Queensland Anglican schools collective agreement are at a critical stage, with members called upon to give urgent feedback on final workload and wage issues.

IEU Assistant Secretary Brad Hayes said after six bargaining meetings, key wage and workload issues still remain unresolved.

“We need more time and support to tackle ever increasing workload demands,” Brad said.

“School staff are already under a heavy burden of administrative tasks and red tape particularly in relation to managing learning support duties, NCCD demands as well as curriculum assessment and reporting tasks.
