Casual boarding staff in Northern Territory Catholic schools working on public holidays will receive 278% of their ordinary pay rate following IEU action.
Our union took action in Fair Work Commission (FWC) after members at one NT school reported they were not receiving their casual loading on public holidays.
Under the terms of their collective agreement, Catholic Education employees in NT Catholic schools receive a 250% penalty rate on public holidays.
Casual employees also receive a 28% loading on top of their ordinary pay rate for all hours worked.
